About - Furness Primary School

Furness Primary School was re-built in 1908, over a 100 years ago. The school aims to develop and implement educational practices, which regard children as active learners and not passive recipients. They also regard the active learning and teaching approaches as an important means of producing critical thinking, self-respecting, self-disciplined, literate, numerate and well-balanced youngsters who will be able to have access to a range opportunities in the years to follow.
