About - St Georges New Town Junior School

St. George’s New Town Junior School was established in 1903 and is placed at the centre of our community which is located in a fine Edwardian building, comprising of three floors, and lots of modern facilities. The school are proud to provide a service that places both the quality of learning, and high standards of care and well-being at it’s core aside from its extensive facilities.

Years 3,4,5 and 6September
Pupils are admitted to our school in Year 3, the year in which their 8th birthday is due. The ‘number intended to admit’ into each Year 3 cohort is 75. Children attending our partner infant school have the right to request a guaranteed place in Year 3. When in Year 2 they will be offered the opportunity to forego the standard admissions route, which would require nominating up to four schools in preferred order, and instead opt for a guaranteed place at St. George’s New Town Junior School. However, we also provide school places for children who wish to change school during Years 3, 4, 5 or 6 if there still available places to offer.v>
