ISSB Common Sense Test Sample Questions

This is a simple and easy test and it requires only a common sense. In some cases, alternative choices for appropriate answers are given and the candidates are desired to select or pick up the correct answer and write down its serial number.

Example: 1

  • It takes 3 minutes to boil an egg. How much time will it take to boil 6 eggs together?
  • A. 18
  • B. 6
  • C. 3

Answer: Choice (C) The question was based on common sense. If one egg takes 3 minutes to be boiled then any number of eggs when boiled together will take the time of three minutes.

Example: 2

  • A woman gives a beggar 1 rupee and 32 paisas; the woman is the beggar's sister, but the beggar is not the woman's brother. How come?

Answer: The beggar is her sister. Use common sense and all factors involved in the statement of the question. Relate them in forward as well as in the reverse relationships.
