and causation?

correlated with each other. Causation is far more
specific-either A must cause B, or B must cause A. |

1. Whenever the TV networks begin showing
lots of reruns, beach attendance increases. Therefore, reruns must cause
people to flock to the beach.
2. John: Whenever I see lots of people
with umbrellas it always ends up raining that day. Umbrellas must cause
it to rain.
In this argument, the author reverses
the causality. This is a very easy example; causality questions won't
be quite so simple in an actual argument. However, if you're aware of
this type of common flaw, you'll have an easier time identifying it.
