Look for a verb with a preposition. Here, it's "prefer…over" Do you prefer something "over" something else or do you prefer something "to" something else? "To" is correct, so eliminate Choices (1), (3), and (4).
Is it better to say that Aislinn prefers these authors "to those of later eras" or "to later eras' authors"? The second choice is awkward, so eliminate (5).
