A sentence's verb tenses don't all have to be the same, but they have to make sense in terms of each other. For instance, look at two versions of a sentence:
Amanda has collected the mail and has gone to a movie. Amanda has collected the mail and will go to a movie.
Both sentences are grammatically correct even though the verb tenses are the same in the first and different in the second. They're each correct because verb tenses are simply required to follow the logic of the sentence. Therefore, when you're looking for verb tense errors — which you should always do when a verb is underlined — don't look to see if the tenses are all the same; just look to see if they make sense in context.
